Choosing a spring color for your home

Colors that are in style right now are the spring bloom collection. Things such as Red Grapefruit, New Peach, Peach Surprise, Neighborly peach and brandy butter are the hottest trends in color. Note to everyone out there: Do NOT paint your whole house these colors. This is to be used in moderation. If you want to experiment with "painting" a room these colors you can do it through e-tablet edition found in the iTunes App Store.

3 little groundcovers that thrive under trees

Shade loving garden Lilliputians offer a dainty spring flower and dramatic foliage without needing tons of sun. The three that you can look for at your local garden center to spruce up your yard even though it might not get tons of sun are:

Barrenworth: also called fairy wings, this pint-size pretty thrives in the dry soil beneath shallow-rooted trees. It has red-tinged leaves

Lungworth: An early riser, lungworth breathes life into your spring garden.Bears white flowers and mottled leaves

Foamflower: (pictured above) Maded for its frothy white and pink blooms, the foamflower forms large clumps of deeply lobed leaves, often streaked or speckled with red

Easy and Enjoyable!

Staging your home can really increase your chances for a SOLD sign

SO many people think that they can sell their home just the way it is. I have heard people say "if the new buyers want to change something then they will have the capability to do so". Well here is what I want you to know. Buyers are looking for ideas- they want to walk into a house and say, "I want it just like this". They do not want to have to go around the house and make a list of things they would like to be fixed. Things such as gold light fixtures, wall paper, crazy colors, etc are all things that are, YES cosmetic but it seems to big of a project for some (I mean most) people.

I have used a great stager for the past year for all of my listings and she is a god send. She is able to see things that I do not. With both of us working together with my clients it seems that magic happens! With a little paint, re-arranging furniture and setting a stage for comfortable living- buyers seem to flock towards these homes.

Staging is only part of what I am able to provide to my sellers, but it certainly helps!

Let me know if you have any more questions~ or if you want to talk about selling your home!

XOXO

What great people I have worked with in Ashley Forest

I got the great opportunity to list this home in my neighborhood of Ashley Forest. This is 1 Bonham Court, Durham NC 27703. It was a pleasure working with the seller and he kept a great home- no wonder it sold in less than a week. Below is what he has to say about working with me (couldn't get better than this!)

"Lindsay did an outstanding job as my realtor and was instrumental in quickly prepping, auditioning and selling my home in Durham. She regularly kept me abreast of key developments and decisions while I was going through the sales process. Lindsay maintains an extensive network of associates in the real estate industry so she is well informed and shares this knowledge with her clients. She consistently followed up with me to ensure I was not feeling lost in the process. Lindsay always took into consideration my needs as her client and working together to sell my home was a great experience!

Thanks again for all your assistance!"

Makes you want to work me now doesn't!

XOXO

Brier Creek Commons welcomes Noodles and Co.

Brier Creek Commons has a new member! Well they actually have a few new members. The one that I found to be AMAZING is Noodles and Company. It is not a traditional sit down nor traditional fast food. It is the perfect mix between the both. They have all different types of great dishes at a reasonable price. You need to check it out!

Spring is right around the corner...don't miss out!

Spring is just around the corner and you don't want to miss it! During the springtime, it is best to plant canned roses to enjoy blooms during the summer months, buy and plant summer bulbs, such as callas, cannas, dahlias, and gladiolus. During this period, try to replace winter-spring annuals with summer annuals, including asters, coleus, impatiens, lobelia, marigolds, petunias, and zinnias. Also, buy and plant perennials to provide structure to the garden. You can also start seeds or buy plants for the warm-season vegetable garden. Tomato, eggplant, melons, peppers and squashes will be a great choice.

It is so easy and its the perfect time to get started or at least start planning. I can't wait to see everyone's spring and summer blooms in Ashley Forest.
